Admissions


1. If you’re at least 17 and will need Federal Student Aid, a high school diploma or GED is required and you must:

  • Visit the school and meet with the admissions representative;
  • Provide a copy of your high school diploma, GED, or your California State Proficiency Test scores;
  • Provide valid Social Security card;
  • Provide driver’s license or a government-issued photo identification card.

2. If you do not have a high school diploma or its equivalent, the Federal Student Aid will not be available to you. If you still like to join the program without federal assistance you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Have completed 10th grade education or its equivalent;
  • Visit the school and meet with the admissions representative
  • Provide a valid Social Security card;
  • Provide driver’s license or a government-issued photo identification card.
  • Demonstrate your “Ability to Benefit” from the training by passing an Ability-to-Benefit test. These tests are administered by an independent test administrator. The two Ability-to-Benefit tests used are (1) the Wonderlic VS-I/QS-1 Test (passing score for the VS-1 section is 200 or higher and for the QS-1 section is 210 or higher) and (2) the COMPASS Ability-to-Benefit test published by American College Testing [ACT] (minimum passing scores of 62 in Reading, 32 in Writing Skills and 25 in Pre-algebra/Num Skills).

3. If you’re at least 18, an immigrant to the United States, and have completed high school or its equivalent in your country of origin, you must:

  • Have your high school transcript/diploma evaluated by an independent agency to ensure that it is equivalent to California/US high school diploma
  • Have completed 10th grade education or its equivalent;
  • Visit the school and meet with the admissions representative
  • Provide a valid Social Security card;
  • Provide driver’s license or a government-issued photo identification card.
